WHAT WE OFFER
Dhamma Programs
Resident monks conduct religious rituals such as Buddha Poojas, Ashtapana Poojas, Atavisi Buddha Poojas and Dhamma Sermons.
- Resident monks of the ASBV carry out religious rituals including Daily Buddha Pooja (offering to the Lord Buddha) from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm,
- Weekly Ashtapana Pooja (offering eight beverages to the Lord Buddha) on every Sunday 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm
- Monthly Atavisi Buddha Pooja (offering to 28 Lord Buddhas) on the first Saturday of each month from 6.30 pm to 9.00 pm.
- Resident monks also deliver weekly Dhamma Sermons on every Friday from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm while overseeing annual religious ceremonies such as Vesak, Poson and Katina (robe offering ceremony) which are usually held during the months of May, June and October, respectively. Numerous visiting/invited monks from local/interstate/international jurisdictions take part in these programs, regularly.

Cultural Programs
ASBV organizes multicultural programs including Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebration, Annual Curry Night and a variety of other cultural events such as movie/drama/musical shows.
Community Library
ASBV runs a community library, for both members and non-members of the temple.

New Migrant & Refugee Support
ASBV supports the new migrants and refugees during their initial settlement by helping them to enter into the social network and to obtain local community support. Additionally, resident monks of the ASBV provide emotional support services including counselling and meditation to new migrants and refugees hailing not only from Sri Lanka but also from other countries with diverse cultural backgrounds.
