Our annual Katina pinkama is scheduled for Sunday 29th October 2017. We anticipate about 20 monks will participate in this year’s Pinkama.

The monastics will walk along the designate route and if you would like to offer food please signal to them you have something to offer. They will stop and lift the lid on their bowls allowing you to place items in each of their bowls.

We are grateful to the organising committee of the Global Mindfulness summit for granting permission and made facilities available for us to take part live in this historically important event. You are welcome to gather to the Adelaide Sri Lanka Cultural Hub (ASCH) at the Crafers Temple and make the most out of this opportunity.
Why this is important? During Ven. Dhammajeeva Thero’s visit in Adelaide this year, Bhanthe explained the value of practicing mindfulness every moment in our lives. He founded the first Sathi Pasala in Adelaide and conducted a training session to the children, parents and teachers extending to the Australian community and all religions. Let’s use this unique opportunity to fine tune that experience and wisdom.
The Global Summit is graced by the world leaders who teach and practice mindfulness (Sathi). The purpose has been to provide a platform to the experts from all parts of the world irrespective of religion, ethnicity or culture in order to gather information on sathi practice as applied in various religions, science, medicine, psychology and education.
